Ask Ninja: Week 1

Hi Readers,

Thanks for last week's question about "unconscious focusing". That's a great question! Basically, most people's thinking goes on unconscious. One of the forefathers of psychology, good ol' Sigmund Freud was one of the first individuals to point out the power and influence of the 'unconscious mind' having on individuals.

In more modern times, practioners of NLP and personal growth gurus such as Tony Robbins and Bill Harris have emphasized the importance of beliefs and values in influencing the thought processes of individuals. Beliefs are generally defined as the thoughts that individuals tend to hold for certain topics in life; while values are what's important to them in life. For example, a belief for money would be "Money is the root of all evil"; and an example of values would be "Money means alot to me".

In any case, the case and point is that for most individuals; their beliefs and values in most topics are acting on an unconscious level. Thus, as much as a person tries to 'focus on the positive' things still tend to work out not according to plan, since a part of their mind maybe focusing on the opposite.

So what's the cure? Start doing exercises and finding out what beliefs and values you hold. Just get a piece a paper; and start writing the first things that come to mind when you think of money, love, success.

I hope that was helpful!

Cheers and until next week.

Dear Ninja,

GREAT POST! I've been reading information about buddhism and I was wondering if you knew anything about the concept of karma and how does this relate to The Secret and the Law of Attraction?
