Ask Ninja: Week 2

Hi Readers,

Karma and how does it relate to the LoA (Law of Attraction). Good question. Well, to be honest with everyone, I can’t say that I’m an expert on the Hindu/Buddhist concept of Karma. However, I do recall listening to a talk from the Dalai Lama, in which he was explaining the concept of Karma; in relation to “The 4 Noble Truths”; the backbone of Buddhist doctrine.

Basically, to summarize as clearly as I can, Karma is an instance of intentional action that involves an agent. So that means it’s when an individual FOCUSES on doing something; ACTS upon it and then this sequence generally carries with it either positive or negative consequences, that COULD possibly last longer than the action itself.

Thus, for example, an action in the morning, could still have its lasting effects for the rest of the day, and Buddhists believe that Karma can even carry-on beyond lifetimes (but that’s for another post!). The Dalai Lama also mentioned 3 essential parts of a single Karmic Action: Intention -> Action -> Completion and how various degrees of intensity in each of these parts will also reflect the power and consequences of the karmic action. How does this relate to the Secret and the LoA?

The Secret talked alot about thoughts and the power of focusing your thoughts, that’s similar to the intention part of karma. The movie also mentioned two other aspects of the LoA; the part of ‘action’ and the act of ‘gratitude’ (completion).

Thus, you can have more attractive energy to achieve your goals by at least 3 different ways:

1. Focusing more and more on your positive intention
2. Having PASSION and energy when you’re conducting an action to achieve your goal
3. Being grateful for the result after the fact, even if it was a ‘failure’, you can still be grateful that you did the action

Or do all 3 of them at once!

Cheers and until next time.
